About Me

style="text-decoration: underline;">
Hello, My name is Stephen Swarath. I was born in Trinidad. It is the most southern island in the Caribbean. Very close to the country of Venezuala in South America. My family moved to Canada in March of 1974. I attended Confederation Central School for grades Kindergarten and one. We (my siblings) then went to Errol Road Public School, where I graduated from grade 8 in 1984. I then entered the halls of St. Clair Secondary School. High school was fun and it was the place where I met most of my friends that I still hang out with now. I graduated in 1988, but stuck around for some extra O.A.C. courses (when they had such a thing) and left high school in 1989. At that point in my life I wanted to head off to Bible College but things changed and I stayed around Sarnia for a little. I thought I wanted to get into Accounting, so I applied to three colleges and was accepted into all three [Lambton, Fanshawe (London) and Conestoga (Kitchener)], but I chose to stay close to home and attended Lambton College. I started into the 3 Year Business Administration - Accounting Program and enjoyed it, but half way into the second year, things changed. An uncle called me one day and asked how and what I was up to and I mentioned to him what I was taking in school. To make a long story short, he told me to get out of accounting and get into computers. So I did. Changed programs at college and went into the 3 year Computer Programming Program. After the school year of 1993, I thought I was done with school, finally. God had a different say. I had a friend attending Eastern Pentecostal Bible College at the time and wanted to give him a visit. So I hopped on to VIA Rail and went for a visit. The visit was amazing and at that point I knew I wanted to attend Bible College for the upcoming academic year. I applied and was accepted to attend to following year. The acceptance into Eastern was for the four year Pastoral degree, but I attended EPBC for only one year. It was a great experience for me and had some of my most memorable times of life in that academic year. One week after the school year had finished, to my surprise, my dad started into full-time ministry. My dad, Rev. Bali Swarath, was blessed with a local church congregation. He was given the Senior Pastors position at Revival Centre Community Church which he later renamed Sarnia Church of God. May 7, 1995 was our first service. From that time till the present, God has really poured out His Spirit and made His Presence known in a mighty way. Check out The Tabernacle Church of God church history to find out more on an amazing story and the exciting miracle God gave to us.
